Junior Footy

The Mordialloc Redbacks Junior Footy Club is a young club (read about the journey), intentionally small to allow our kids more game time, as well as creating a fun, family-friendly environment for parents and grandparents. There are a number of teams and ages competing in the Frankston District Junior Football League from Under 8s, 9s, 10s, 11s, 12s, 14s, 15s and 16s.

Age eligibility is within this range 01 Jan 2005 to 01 May 2017, with age groups below. Younger? Join AusKick. Older? Join junior footy.  Still not sure? Contact us and we'll try to help.

Training - is at Ben Kavanagh Reserve (corner of Chute Street and McDonald Street in Mordialloc). We typically train on a Tuesday or Thursday evening from 4.30pm – 5.30pm, as a guide but can flex depending on coach availability. 

Games - Our games are usually played on a Sunday, however there is the occasional Friday night game (to help balance ground availability through the season).

Footy gear - A jumper is provided to every player for the season. Red shorts need to be purchased from the team managers ($25 each). Socks are provided as part of the annual sports pack to the players. All players are required to wear a mouthguard to training and games. You can buy junior footy merchandise here.
